The Book Fair is Coming!

November 12th-15th

Your child will be visiting the book fair with his/her classroom during the school day.  Families can also shop during Pajamas with the Principal on Wednesday, November 13 from 6:30-8:00.  Pop on your pajamas and join Ms. Muller as she reads some favorite stories!  Grades 1-2 at 6:30 and Grades 3-5 at 7:10

Consider setting up an e-wallet so your children can make cashless purchases on their own (similar to their lunch accounts)

You can set this up at our book fair website here.

Please note that all purchases have to be taxed.

We're looking for volunteers for the Book Fair!  If you can help, please click below to sign up for a spot.

Join Us for a Worldwide Party on 11/15 & 11/18!

We’re excited to announce a 2-Part Multicultural Celebration and we would love for your whole family to be a part of this Worldwide Party!

The Worldwide Party is a free, fun-filled event to teach our students about other countries and cultures from around the world, and provide an opportunity for our families to connect and learn a little about one another.  Please see below on what's happening over the 2 days and opportunities to be involved.

Thank you for celebrating the amazing diversity of our school community. We can’t wait to see the pride and joy our kids and families will bring to this year’s multicultural celebrations! Jojo Siwa puts it best in her song: “One heart, one beat, Worldwide Party!”

Warm regards,

The L-H Multicultural Day Committee

1. Fri 11/15 Food Fair: “Passport to the World” (LH families invited 5-7pm)

Join us in the gym for an evening of culture, food, and fun as we transform the space into a global showcase! Like last year (see photo below), we invite parent volunteers to host a table and bring samples of food from a country. The PTO is supporting each parent volunteer with up to $50 reimbursement for the food. Families are also welcome to pack their own picnics for the evening to enjoy on the lawn.

2. Mon 11/18 Daytime Assembly: “United Colors of LH” (students only)

Let’s make it a colorful celebration of the world’s diversity! This year, we’re inviting students to sign up and showcase an outfit or t-shirt that represents a country of their choice during a school-wide assembly. It could be a Manchester United soccer jersey, traditional kaftan, kimono, lederhosen, Canadian tuxedo, sari — the possibilities are endless! Students will walk from the back of the gym onto the stage, and share their name / grade / country they’re representing / an interesting fact about it.
